![]() ![]() Whenever there is an in-game update though, which happens much more often, it seems to just wipe that additional 8GB of data it downloads. Steam is able to just patch the few MB they changed/added. If you look through the game's install folder you will see two sets of the same 8GB of data, just sorted and arranged across subfolders differently. AND REDOWNLOADS IT'S 8GB OR SO OF ASSETS! Steam's UI doesn't even track this because the game downloads this data on it's own, bypassing Steam. and then when you start the game it does an update check. ![]() When you install it through Steam, the game seems to download all of it's executables and data and such in full. You know how it says the game takes about 10GB on your drive if you go to properties? Yeah well, that's a lie, it takes actually TWICE as that: This only happens on the PC version (My phone version only downloads the update data it needs). The problem is the game downloads itself TWICE, and re-downloads in full every update. JP pc release have the similar bug and got fixed after 1 day. its been like from start of the steam release like this and never get fixed. and yet i can get it to download no problem lol SoundsInsane původně napsal:*yawn* guess no one decides to adapt to buggy games or fine work arounds and im the player with good computer and crappy internet, yet people complain they cant download with the top tier internet, when mine is less than 25mbs. If you do the Download All, it makes the game less buggy, but it will still be buggy Note: if your doing Individual downloads as you progress through the game its Slower. Only solutions needed, is to find that workround. Ive played 1 to many games where there is always a issue no matter the game. When you can sit down, look at a game with a grain of salt thinking its 100% functional, your wrong. Relog - and accept it the 2nd time, it should successfully work on the 2nd time around (always doe for me). and yet i can get it to download no problem lolĭownloader is buggy, thats unavoidable, when you accept it, you should wait till it reaches 100% - if it doesnt, and goes beyond 150+ dont try to wait it out. *yawn* guess no one decides to adapt to buggy games or fine work arounds and im the player with good computer and crappy internet, yet people complain they cant download with the top tier internet, when mine is less than 25mbs. Yasunori Mitsuda is a great composer and I can hear his influence is in this game but this "full game experience, but you need to DL 200000% content and it needs to take 5 hours on one of the fastest fiber connections one can get on a moba experience type platform game" isnt worth the FREE that this game is. So I tried again today and its like "you need to download another file thast 1986mbs" like nah, I'll pass, I got other things to do, sorry. Today was the straw to break the camels back when I tried to log in and its asks me AGAIN for another update!?!?!? I just downloaded a update last night and it took so long i couldnt even log in because by the time it was done I was ready for bed. you guys arent even adding that much content and I dont have time to keep updating a game that isnt even that great. But now every time i log back in to try and get to chapter 13 (but really 25th chapter) it absolutely kills the experience that I need to keep downloading and updating the game and with unrealistic DL times where sometimes it says I have downloaded over 8000% or more when they said the file size would be 128mbs or so and then it takes another 2 HOURS just to update this game. So then I finally got to play and the story is OK, I see where they are going and why the Chrono Cross franchise characters would be involved in this story. Then the updating and updating and then more updating. I went ahead and got the full DL, took about 2 hours on a 1 GB connection. Well, I had got this to play the Chrono Cross content. ![]()
